OBS stop recording when I press start recording

Has anyone else had this problem? OBS has suddenly started working in reverse. I put in a VHS tape and allowed to play until it gets to the point at which I want to record. When I press "start recording" it actually stops recording. A video file appears in my movie filter on my Mac and the recording is perfectly okay. It's just not where I wanted to record from! The result of this, of course, is that when I press "start recording" at the point on the tape I want to record, nothing happens. Someone suggested it might be a hotkeys issue, but I don't have any values for any of my keys any solutions anyone? Here is the URL of the log file:

I'm not very good at reading logs but it seems like recording stopped just 37ms after it start by ffmpeg, I was hoping to see a command sent to stop it. Are you using any companion to control it?

I don't think so but I don't know. Until very recently, it was working perfectly. Then I went away for a week, cam back and it started switching off when it should be switching on and vice-versa. I also tried reinstalling the OBS software. That didn't work, either.

I think I've solved the problem. It's not that OBS isn't recording. It's just that, previously, the Movie file would not appear in the Movie folder of my Mac until I'd stopped recording. Now it appears when I start recording. I can still his "start recording" and "stop recording" and it seems tdo work fine. But what clever clogs decided it would be a good idea to alter the visual alert in the Movie folder like that?

Good to know you've solved it.
